Wind Turbine Zoning Information

On the 7th of July 2009, the County adopted the attached (see below) version of a wind turbine section to it’s zoning ordinance. The section may be inspected by the public and copied from or at either the County’s website the State’s Attorney’s office, the Auditor’s, or the Recorder’s office between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on any business weekday. The nature, scope, and purpose of the adopted resolution is to provide a framework for siting, construction, and operation of a wind energy
facilities in the County that will preserve the safety and well being of the residents and facilitate
equitable and orderly development.
